INFORMATION ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Bardhaman Bidyarthi Bhaban Girls’ High School, a name that is quite well known and famous in Burdwan region as well as in West Bengal. Starting in year 1958 in two rooms with just 5 students has now emerged and has developed into its enormous bulk with 2000 students in a gorgeous buildings in a beautiful premises infested with greenery around. With well facilities computer lab, laboratories, yoga class, Karate class, Spoken English, N.C.C (Junior & Senior wings), extracurricular activities, and also taken care of the overall personalized self development and grooming of the students.

HISTORY OF OUR INSTITUTE

The school had started its journey way back in the year 1958 with only 5 girls students, has now become one of the leading girls’ school in Burdwan with more than 2000 students. At present the school has its enormous premises with a big playground. This present status has been achieved by tired less strivings of all the teaching & non-teaching staff of past and present, along with members of Managing committees, guardians, and some well wishers, the school will never forget their contribution they made towards the school. A name without whom the story of this school will remain unfinished is Dr. Krishna Mukhopadhyay, whose proper guidance, leadership and sincere service promoted the school to its present state. Along with Bengali Medium the school has English Medium wings for Class –XI & XII (Science). The students of the Institute in both academic and extracurricular activities are performing above par excellence. The results of Madhyamik & Higher Secondary are excellent year after year. Students are not only performing well and securing good marks in academics but also doing well in all round activities in District as well as National Level and winning those competitions and raising the bar high to the sky limit.
